The newest face at The Inns at St. Albans is no newcomer to the hospitality arena.
Michele Weinfeld-Johnson, event coordinator at Food Service Consultants, one of two exclusive caterers for The Inns, comes to us with 25 years of experience in the industry. Most recently, Michele served at The Chase Park Plaza Hotel as social catering and wedding sales manager. Her impressive resume is chockfull of other premier hotels throughout the United States. “My husband is an executive chef whose career advancements have taken us all over the country. The industry is in our blood.”
But Michele says she and her husband are in St. Louis for the long haul, and her arrival at The Inns at St. Albans is a welcome change of scenery. “This is a new and different environment for me,” she says. “The Inns at St. Albans is full-service venue with a much more intimate feel than a large hotel.”
In her role here, Michele serves as point person for weddings and private events. “Weddings are my favorite,” she says.”Being an integral part of a bride and groom’s most special day is an honor.” She loves the creativity involved in the process, as well as the intimate nature of wedding planning. “I love helping couples select unique and delicious menus and design beautiful ceremony and reception venues to represent their personalities.”
The creativity also flows when Michele thinks about the endless possibilities for pre- and post-wedding festivities at The Inns. She envisions casual rehearsal dinners at Head’s Store. Old Barn Inn or its outdoor pavilion and gardens also make ideal settings for these celebrations, she notes. And, with the ability to seat 35, the Rock Island Room at Head’s Store would play perfect host to a Sunday Farewell Breakfast for wedding guests who’ve stayed on premise. “I just love this place. It’s a unique environment with so many beautiful venues and options.”
The Inns offers “an incredibly talented culinary team,” says Michele. “The menu and food offerings have been designed specifically for this location.”
In conjunction with its beautiful setting, a selection of great sites and private spaces, and multiple types of accommodations for overnight stays, Michele considers The Inns of St. Albans an unrivaled venue for weddings and other events – yet only 10 minutes west of Chesterfield. “You get here and it feels like a destination, however, it’s still an easy drive for guests.”
We are so excited to welcome Michele to our team here at The Inns at St. Albans! We know she’s an incredible addition to our weddings and events portfolio.
