With gourmet dining options, charming accommodations and a plethora of outdoor activities conducive to social distancing, our historic resort on the outskirts of St. Louis offers something for everyone.
Get Active – Or Don’t!
Nestled among rolling hills of the Missouri River Valley, The Inns at St. Albans consists of numerous historic properties and outdoor venues welcoming guests to take in some breathtaking views, fresh air and the quiet of wide open spaces offered by our scenic surroundings. We’ve got ample settings – indoors and out – for guests to curl up with a book, meditate, or relax and rejuvenate however they please. Our property is situated on acres originally charted by Lewis & Clark, and those needing more adventurous activities can explore our nature trails, log some mileage around the lake, or reserve a tee time at the nearby Country Club of St. Albans.
Overnight accommodations abound here for individuals and groups.
Couples, small parties and solo travelers visiting The Inns can reserve a cottage located on the beautifully manicured grounds of The Old Barn Inn. These 550-square-foot, one-bedroom sanctuaries feature a wood-burning fireplace, secluded patio and large private bath. In all, our four cottages can sleep a total of 13 individuals thanks to queen beds and pullout sofas. Book a one-night cottage StayINN package directly here for just $300.
Families have an opportunity to reserve The
Farm House, a fully equipped, three-bedroom home just steps from Head’s Store, nature trails and St. Albans Lake. Featuring a screened porch and front porch outfitted with swings, The Farm House sleeps eight comfortably and rents for weekends, long weekends and weeks at a time.
Additionally, The Inns at St. Albans can accommodate another 12 overnight guests at our circa 1900 mansion, The Studio Inn. Built by architect Theodore Link of St. Louis’ Union Station fame, the six-bedroom estate boasts a billiards room, gourmet kitchen and
unrivaled views of the area including the resort’s vineyard and adjacent championship golf course. Like The Farm House, The Studio Inn rents for weekends, long weekends and by the week.
Come May 2021, we look forward to welcoming even more overnight visitors with the opening of The Lodge, a 12-bedroom farmhouse that will sleep up to 40.
We all love to eat – or escape the kitchen – while on vacation, and The Inns makes meals a breeze. Dine alfresco or indoors from historic and quaint Head’s Store, which reopened this past spring after undergoing an extensive renovation. Here, guests can purchase grab-and-go snacks, hot and cold beverages, and fresh meals (think salads, hot/cold sandwiches, and even a kid’s menu) for dine-in or carryou
t. Head’s Store is open Wednesday through Sunday and offers an all-day breakfast and lunch menu between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Additionally, the venue hosts Porch Parties every Friday evening from 5 to 10 p.m. with tableside dinner service and live music. No reservations required; patio and lawn seating available first-come, first-served.
And now through October 18, The Old Barn Inn holds SipINN Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. on its covered pavilions and gardens. Featuring a mouth-watering menu of casual bites coupled with crafted and canned cocktails, beer and wine, these weekly events are themed and set to live music from local acts. This is a great way to sample some great food and beverage while staying socially distanced.
Also from time to time, The Inns holds special ticketed dinner events. Be sure to stay tuned to our calendar and consider coupling your stay with an exclusive gourmet dining experience.
These days, we are all deserving of a break from the chaos of pandemic life. Travel and stay safely with us, and we guarantee a visit to rest, reinvigorate and remember!
